Dr. Jean Carruthers is a globally-recognized cosmetic surgery expert who has played a pivotal role in the development of some of the world’s most successful cosmetic procedures, having authored over 300 peer reviewed scientific articles and book chapters. A highly sought-after speaker on the global stage, Dr. Carruthers has given thousands of presentations on cosmetic surgery and has been featured in Best Doctors in Canada, The New York Times, Allure, Time, Newsweek and Vogue as well as on 20/20. With her husband, Dr. Alastair Carruthers, she pioneered the cosmetic use of botulinum A exotoxin (or Botox) and continues to drive its advances. A Clinical Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Dr. Carruthers has been collaborating with patients to meet their individual cosmetic goals for more than 30 years.
